- Informal shack settlements are frequently ignored by city administrations, and water, electricity, garbage disposal and other municipal services are often not adequately supplied. On Kumasi city maps Ayigya-Zongo's street names do not even exist.

- During the two week workshop, the workshop participants moved daily along the many roads and pathways in the Ayigya community, often together with the residents who showed the artists the areas of their concern. On some of these spots exhibitions, performances and interventions took place. Having memorized the places the artists had come to know, a new associative and very personal map was drawn.
